13U Football Impressive On and Off the Field

The 13U travel football team left a positive impression both on and off the field during its tournament in Tennessee Nov. 19 and 20. The team won its Saturday game but came up a little short on Sunday to end the weekend 1-1. The UNITY family always stresses the importance of teaching life lessons while coaching sports. And this weekend it was obvious that those positive messages have sunk in.

After the game, the team went to a restaurant for dinner and left quite an impression on one person by holding doors for people and being mindful of the small children running around looking up to them.

“So, a random stranger came to the private room where our team was sitting and blessed us with $100 towards our meal because he was impressed with our mannerisms walking through the restaurant,” said Coach Al Brady.

Travel tournaments are a privilege that offer wonderful new experiences, and it’s so rewarding to see our young men representing the UNITY organization and our community so well.
