Why Girls Lacrosse

LET'S GET READY TO BALL

Girls lacrosse is a non-contact game that incorporates a unique combination of basketball and soccer skills. The rules of girls lacrosse differ significantly from boys lacrosse.  Anyone – big or small – can play lacrosse! This game requires and rewards coordination and agility. Girls lacrosse is an exhilarating sport, fast-paced and full of action, featuring long sprints up and down the field with quick cuts, precision passes and dodges.

Let's Develop Your Game!

Vivian Abalama is the first female lacrosse player for UNITY.  Affectionately known as Vivi, she played on the boys lacrosse team because UNITY didn’t offer girls lacrosse at the time. Vivi was an important part of UNITY’s 5th/6th grade team’s success in the PGYLL playoff tournament, in which the team came in 2nd place.
