The UNITY Lacrosse program was established in 2019 to add another option for youth to expand their athletic interest and ability during the Spring season. Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing team sports in Maryland High Schools and across the country.

The sport of Lacrosse incorporates a unique combination of basketball, soccer and football. Anyone – big or small – can play lacrosse! This game requires and rewards coordination and agility, not brawn. An exhilarating sport, Lacrosse is a contact game, fast-paced and full of action. Long sprints up and down the field with quick cuts, precision passes and dodges are routine in boys and girls Lacrosse.

PGYLL is a boys “rec level” lacrosse league inspired by the principles of US Lacrosse’s “Lacrosse Athlete Development Model” (LADM). PGYLL is a “Small-Sided” League, with games played on an approximately 60-yard by 35-yard field. US Lacrosse strongly encourages the “small-sided” format because it is proven to quickly improve stick skills and greatly increase the number of “touches on the ball” that players get per game.
